Master Series 2014 conclusion
Back to top Back to main Skip to menuThe first Urban Zone Master Series has come to a conclusion, the best clans from all three leagues battled it out to decide who's best. We'd like to thank all the clans for their flexibility to fit all the matches in such a short time period. It was all packed into one weekend (and a Tuesday) which in our opinion showed a lot of potential for quick and fast tournaments. It also is a great possibility to stream a whole weekend of Urban Terror matches!
Speaking of streaming, SevenofNine managed to cover the semi finals and grand final after a considerable time of inactivity, he was assisted by Brejnless and GTV was provided by TooFatBears and the cameraman was rasta|blaster.

Semi Finals
The semi finals started off with Ginger engineer vs. Aera. The Ginger engineers are the reigning CTF champions started off on Tohunga (CTF), their home map and it resulted in a whitewash 14-2. The second map casa (TS) was a lot closer than the scoreline suggests but the result was the same, D&G won in two maps and went on to the Grand Final.
The second Semi Final was between b00bs and Hash. The b00bs are the reigning champs of the Team Survivor and Bomb leagues so the pressure was on HASH. Two maps of tohunga proved to be sufficient to decide the finalist though the CTF half was incredibly close 7-6, TS ended in 16-9 resulting in a Grand Final between b00bs and Ginger engineers.
The final went on till deep in the evening, but it could have been a short one if D&G had pounced on their chance during Tohunga (TS). It was 10-10 19m58s in to the game, so winner takes all! By the skin of their teeth b00bs clinched the first map, if you have 20 minutes to spare, watch that stream! What a way to start a final!
Tohunga was a popular map during these master series, once more it was played but this time in CTF, D&G showed their quality here and made it a resounding 8-3 forcing a third and deciding map. After an elimination Algiers on bomb was chosen. Just before midnight the champions were crowned.
Bomb seemed to be going D&G's way, they played a solid blue side only giving away 6 rounds which in general gave them a good starting point on the easier red side but the excellent teamwork of b00bs pulled them through. Congratulations b00bs! Both of these teams managed to win the modes that they are reigning champion in.
We're looking forward to more of these epic clashes in the future! The bronze final featured HASH, the team stacked with admins Biddle and Gost0r, and Aera eSport. The admins drew the shortest straw resulting in a well deserved bronze medal for the french team, Aera.
Thanks for the good games!
