Allright here we go. The 4th week has already started. There were already 107 played matches!! That's pretty cool for the time of inactivity ;-). That means there were 214 maps played. And 5,757 (!!) rounds played! Now to the Week.

This week will be our first real special week - not that the other weeks aren't special - but this is extra special ;-). Just created for you guys. In this week we got small maps with limited gear ("rcon g_gear 50" - nades, pistols, spas) which will be A LOT of fun! The map's are really all pretty small so u don't have to search the enemy - it will spawn right in front of you. Additionally we got bonus points in this week. If you player your map in CTF mode and low gravity 200 ("rcon g_gravity 200") you will get +1 extra point! So try out the power of gravity.

Rounds = flag caps (in CTF), number of times other team eliminated in TS (or Bomb) etc., obviously not = maps * anything it's just a number accumlated from the results entered so far.

Either way a lot of games are being played at what is supposedly a quiet time of the year. Wink

It's a traditional thing with UZ, Summer Cups are stupid maps with stupid rules just for shits and giggles.

Think you should come back when the proper leagues start in September ... Smile

(PS, not having a dig, I don't play this cup either cos this kinda thing does nothing for me, just explaining that it's not meant to be taken even remotely seriously)

Ye, due to the size of the maps, the gear is limited. And you don't HAVE to use low gravity, it's an option for an extra point.

Not being limited to any gametype, as I joined this cup with the idea of playing nothing but TS, I find myself playing bomb on sanc the first time I do a match. As this is just something I didnt knew beforehand. you gotta arrange the match, uac2(any admins check if everybodies on?), servers with configs, (any admins check if we use the right cfg's?). okay so some things are just as any cup like arranging a date, but what if we dont show up, is there an admin coming to reschedule/force/remove points? is there an admin that checks if the match reports are alright since we do those on our own? how about playing a gametype or a map someone else have never played or heard of, doesnt that bring an amazing disadvantage. and what about not knowing the maps right before the match, since we have to arrange that on ourselves, its hard to prepare if you get to tell your team the opponent you are playing in 5 minutes is going for capture and hold on ut4_mapineverheardof. and isnt it all about who plays the most wins. you get points for everything and some clans play so damn much cause there isnt a consistent roster. play as much as you want, play the same team twice, its all good but its kinda chaotic. we can be one hell of a strong team but if another team is twice as weak but plays 123 matches a day its obvious they will land above them. arranging things yourself, pretty much everything.

I cant wait for your beatiful explanation and Im sure it will answer everything and put me in the position where whatever I will say it will make me look stupid

niet zo onaardig he, we geven tenminste antwoord ik weet zat league's waarvan de admins niet of slecht te bereiken is, t is ook nooit goed.. Razz

to answer: yea it's diy in that way, contact the admins if you've got issues, such as no uac or incorrect scores (this was in last weeks newspost), it would be "gekkenwerk" if we had to check every single match, you don't have to approve wrong scores.

and yea, the summer cup isn't your average league or ladder, summer is the off season for urt. I doubt there are clans that take tremendous pride in winning this event, especially if it's with 100 wars played. In short, it's meant to be fun and a change of pace to the leagues (although granted this week was a mistake IMO, even though I was the one who thought of it). But I stand by promoting custom maps, I think there are some "tohunga's" out there that haven't been discovered yet.

ik bedoelde het niet onaardig, maar meestal als er een admin reageert is het meestal op een manier dat alles zo wordt beantwoord dat er moeilijk wat terug valt te zeggen wat dan nog logisch klinkt. zo gaat het er bij clanbase iig altijd aan toe :P. Mja had net een match met deze rules en ik had geen flauw idee wat me overkwam. Daarom ragede ik een beetje. Ik ben nooit zon "checker" geweest en had ook geen rules gelezen. zo zie je maar, gewoon onbewust van alles. Domme actie, maar toch vind ik het desondanks mijn eigen fout wel jammer van de regels. Ik rage amper maar had heel die match mezelf op lopen fokken en ben meteen naar de site gegaan. the occasional bad temper zal ik het maar noemen Wink
