Is there any way to make sure I set timezone-settings in my preferences correctly? So far I mostly got the system but I still feel a little uncomfortable every time I do this.
I set it to GMT+1 and EU Central +1 atm which should be correct for Germany I think.

+1 it is correct for Germany. If you still have doubt check the date of your own post.

You can always see the time of your last refresh at the bottom of the page. Check that this time is right when you compare it to your pc clock. :>
