If you decide to join, you need to make a movie from Urban Zone summer cup matches. We don't care what your experience is - whether this will be your first movie or your 20th, we are interested in giving you a shot at winning and maybe getting your video featured via our media. Our goal is to give exposure to filmmakers in the community - boost the ones that already produce movies as well as help those who are new to it.

We will promote selected videos in the weeks they are submitted on our Facebook and Youtube pages, and during our special event broadcasts at Twitch.

Award: fame, glory, and 25 Euro. The winner's video will be used to promote our next Summer Cup and possibly our other competitions.

CONDITIONS
- Start: You can start immediately.
- Deadline: September 1st
- Results: We promise to have the results available as soon as humanly possible after the deadline, but not later than within 2 weeks.

- Footage: must be from Urban Zone Summer Cup 2013 matches. You can use footage from your teammates, obtained from other players participating in the cup, or downloaded from Laser's demo repository at goo.gl/TROXT. Players can upload their demos with interesting moments at: goo.gl/owTiL. Footage does not have to be limited to the filmmaker's team. Try to concentrate more on gameplay that simple displays of shooting skill.

- Length: minimum 2 minutes, maximum 10 minutes

- Submissions: whatever you post in the submissions thread or hand over to one of our staff members is your final submission

- Benefits: we will feature submissions in the website, and on youtube, facebook, and twitch. The winner's video will be used as official promotional material for the next summer cup and possibly other UZ events

- Requirements: Video introduction must include a reference to "Urban Zone Summer Cup"; video intro/outro must feature credit to Frozen Sand and/or www.urbanterror.info

CRITERIA
We will evaluate the following criteria:
- synchronization of music and video
- creativity, appeal
- audio (choice of music, gamesounds, etc.)
- editing (cut, lighting, coloring, etc.)
- composition (structure, angles, scene transitions)
- team pride (using footage of teammates instead of other players who volunteered their demos)

just for inspiration, this is a summer cup video from 2009. it's a little longer than what we want from you but it shows you a bit of what we're looking for. my special favorite is at 07:14 in algiers, where the flag carrier flies over the guy running to cover him who in turn goes into a slide to get out of the way. or the curb stomp in ramelle at 10:50. or the bloody brilliant nade at the very end. don't be afraid to feature some of the stuff that lit your teamspeak on fire, that remains a story worth telling even after a few weeks.
