Thats what I've detected to
IIRC r_mode 4 means 800x600 - great Resolution for my 22" TFT
What I've not have attached was that the Game tries Standard VGA Resolution (640*480) by itsself after the custom Resolution fails to Start.
This is what I use atm (with the native UrT Client):
seta r_fullscreen "0"
seta r_customwidth "1673"
seta r_customheight "1000"
seta r_mode "-1"
Its in Windowed Mode because of my Dualmonitor Setup, but I works in Fullscreen neither.

@itsme, it appears you know what to do, why did you ask me? Why are you wasting my time with such BS posts if you already know the settings you need to set? Try using your brain before posting
Thats the answer of a real Developer - WOW! N1 - What a bug? Go ahaed and don't waste my Time. ROFL
I just USED my Brain and tried other modes by myself and it does NOT work that was my Question.
PS.
You say: I do not change anything to the Vanilla Source and just added a few cvars, so why is your binary not be able to run 640x480, 800x600 or whatever when othe rbinarys can? - Oh let my alone with this ?%&$§.

@ slackin: is there some improvement possible? 'cause i've got a 24'' screen, and with the related custom resolution (1920x1080), i got 30-40 fps. When i set 1600x1200, i've got 125 fps with no drop, but game looks like shit. Is there any way to fix this?
anyway, congratz for your job so far.
that's impossible. lol
if 1920x1080 is your native resolution you cant use 1600x1200. 1080 is less than 1200.
