Maybe upload your demos? Some would say it's easy.

It has nothing to do with liking or not the team. All teams are subject to the same rules, and at least for TS groups, all teams have been treated the exact same way.

Ask yourself instead why the other groups managed to be played without similar issues.

And, especially, ask yourselves why when we asked Quad to upload their missing demo they just did it instead of crying about the "unfair UZ staff".

What is fantastic is that when you read those uz staff messages, it seems like we volontary refuse to put demos in order to be banned.

That thing couldn't have been done worse by UZ staff, and it's not even surprising.

Never said you don't upload on purpose. You are crying a lot about the staff and the competition, but why didn't you upload your demos yet? Couse you don't have them? Well that would've been a forfait win in every competition, I'm afraid.

Keep crying if this makes you happier, but rules are so clear that even wanting to save your ass, we couldn't.

I remember well how it worked and how it works now. The only thing that didn’t change is that application of rules depends of your team past, if the admin/referee likes you, and if he is active. That was always the case.

During my first season, I was a new leader discovering the world of competition and its mechanics. It happened that you Alexdenton and your friend Godness were the referee I had back at that time. You remember the first thing you taught me ? Because I do. As the stupid leader I was back then, I was requesting all the demos of my opponents. And you told me, with reason, that it was stupid to request a demo more than a week after a match, because there would have been chance this demo could not be aviable anymore, and if I really want the demo I could have asked it before, and thus you didn’t accept my request of demos for that match. And you were totally right.

On the other hand, when I was a beginner, I was also wondering why the top clans matchs were often without any demos on it. And this time that was eya_allam who gave me the answer while harassing me because some of our Wintercup match were missing demos : there was no point of requesting the demo for the referee if the players of the opponent team don’t request it first, except in case of cheat suspicion. That was right, once again.

Now switch back to our case. Yes, Wers didn’t put his demo. He didn’t had time to do it right after match this time, and then he forgot to put it. Then he switched to an other computer. The referee in charge, without any asking for none of our opponents, waited 3 fucking week before doing a request of one demo which was missing. As I said, it was not asked by our opponents, it was a referee initiative. Moreover, this referee told me that this demo was not asked because of a cheat suspicion or anything, and won’t be watch by anybody. But he requested it, because he wanted to request it.

So yeah, as Wers had changed computer since then, that demo wasn’t provided, not because we didn’t want to provide it, not because we tried to hide something (Wers played terribly in the concerned maps, probably his worst match since joining aera/fk), but because it simply wasn’t aviable anymore. If that demo was asked in, lets say fair delays, it would have been provided. There is absolutely no point of asking a demo 3 weeks after a match, especially if you know and if you tell that this demo is completely useless. Because if that demo is aviable, then it’s just time lost to upload it. If it’s not, then you change the result of a season. It’s a lose-lose situation that was imposed by a referee.

When I read a referee explaining right now that only our group have problems with demos, it’s a shame. You’re totally missing the point as a referee, which is to be sure that the competition run well, not to be sure it’s a fucking mess. Fact is our group (aera saft aesir rte) was the ONLY one this season to have relevant results with a relevant final placing, and that because it was the only group where all the 6 groupmatchs had been played. It was the only one, you ruined it only because you wanted to. Not because a forfeithunter team managed to pull a trick to, not because we leaved midway or anything else, that’s only because one referee choose to put shit into this. It’s not something that have been done until now (just have to see last season, ace champions, some demos missing in groupmatchs for them).

But well, let’s say it’s bad to not put the demo, blablabla. Even if we consider the 3 maps where one demo is missing as a loss, then we still second on the group, with 3 maps win (same as aesir) and a way better roundaverage). But well, that was too easy. So you guys just invented something phenomenal : the retroactive suspension -> because he broke one rule (and we are not talking about a cheater, in any way), then he is not suspended by any ref/admin BUT all the match he played until then are turned into forfeit. They were win cleanly, this time all the demos were put (on our side at least), nobody on our side has been caught cheating, but it’s a forfeit win because Wers violated his suspension, suspension that was decided 20 days later. THAT’S MAGIC.

But that was not stupid enough, so you guys pushed the cynics even further. I’ve been clear from the start with the referee. The moment we realize that we didn’t have any way to provide the missing demo (more or less same moment as our last groupmatch vs rte, 20 days ago), I told him why we can’t provide it, and I told him immediately, and I’ve been clear telling him we won’t provide it, because we had no solution. Wanna know what your staff did in order ? First you took a few days to validate our groups match result, which were left empty before, and these were entered as a win. Then I was confirmed the group ranking on IRC. Then the playoff tree was generated with our team in it. Then again, a few days between each step, the playoffs match pages were created. Then we were asked, by PM to schedule that match with shortest delays possible. We did, and the date was confirmed by a referee as well. During all those steps, we hardtrain in order to face the team (jf) that was probably the strongest this season. And only 24 hours before the match, you set up that ridiculous situation. Do you even consider that as normal ? In fact, we initially tried to play that match a few day before. What would have happened if we had won ? Result change ?

Do you staff guy even realize that, by a decision one of you took, decision that had absolutely no goal as it was mentioned, you ruined the whole season of one team on one part, and made the result of your main competition irrelevant by not letting a playoff match being played, and that for the second season in a row ? Congratz !

I will try to be more clear since I probably wasnt.

1. Not letting you play the playoff sucked and the reason we took so long to make a final was us trying to let you play.
2. The fact a staff member likes you or not is completely irrelevant.
3. Uploading demos is mandatory (regardless of whether anyone requests them) and the suspension rule is there since 3 seasons or more.
4. By signing up to a competition you agree with its rules (you are supposed to read something in order to agree to it)

That said, I can agree with you that the way we dealt with this situation wasnt the best possible but if any harm has been done, it's against the team who would have taken your spot in playoff since not uploading demos always lead to forfaits.

The fact your mate had a series of unlucky events who brought him to lose the demo doesnt change the fact he doesnt have it and therefore we cant just let you play since it wouldnt be fair for the teams who actually upload every demo.

I dont remember telling you those words but I ll trust you on that, rules about demos were less strict back in the days but they gradually became like they look now and everybody knows.

When a team like yours who deserved its spot in playoff is taken out couse of broken rules it sucks couse it's a failure for the competirion itself. What I am sure about is that you will upload your demos after every match now. I feel sorry for you but what could we do? Just say "no need to upload, go play"? Sorry we cannot :/

I didn't read anything you wrote besides this but there is no reason to bring jF into this. The admins were not going to change their decision. It is hard enough to convince 4 other people on the team to play a match nonetheless a glorified pcw (not to mention on beijing).

Requiring demos to be posted by every player after every match is a stupid rule, but it is still a rule that you guys broke and now you have to take responsibility for it. Don't blame jF. Maybe "next" season UZ will change the rules to be more reasonable: demos should only be required if they are requested by admins/other players.

I sent you the request 18 "fucking" days after your 1st match and 9 days after your 2nd match.

If that demo was asked in, lets say fair delays, it would have been provided.

Wers was able to upload 1 map of the 2nd match, and lost the other map's demo, that was played on the same day. So the ability to upload demos certainly doesn't depend just on the delay, as you intend to suggest.

I told you very clearly on my first message that the players who don't upload their demos will not be allowed to play matches until they upload their demos. This was before your 3rd match. You knew about the suspension before that match. There never was and will never be a retroactive suspension, because that would obviously be unfair.



Regarding the way playoffs were handled (first created the match, then cancelled very late), indeed that was poor coordination from our part. Even though I wasn't personally involved in this delay, you deserve my apologies for that part.

And let's underline we are very sorry you wasted your time training for a match you didn't have the right to play couse you werent clearily told. We apologise for that, but no unfair decision has been taken against you. According to the current rules (feel free to disagree with them and to suggest a different one and I guarantee it will be discussed as long as it's a positive input) you could have never been allowed to play this playoff match without uploading that demo, simple as that.
